Summer 2 Week 5

Well done to the Y2 pupils who earned house points by doing the Park Run this weekend.

The children were absolutely amazing in the heat wave! They still put in a fabulous amount of effort and coped with the changes admirably. We all enjoyed having their feet in water trays. 

The children all thoroughly enjoyed chopping, grating and taste testing ingredients in DT last week. 

 This week we have transfer days on Tuesday and Wednesday. The children are to wear PE kit on both days.

The children are also carrying on with planning their own stories about a Giant this week. They have some amazing and creative ideas - see if they can tell you their ideas at home! 

End of term is Friday 17th July and school finishes at 1.30pm. 

 In the Swifts there is a chart to celebrate the reading the children do at home. Each time the children get their reading record signed or stamped they can move their token onwards. Five reads in a week and they can get a house point.

Please tick off any homework the children complete on the sheet in their homework book and record the daily reading in the reading records. 

The children will be reminded to change their reading books and take their homework books home but if they forget please feel free to send them back to do it at the end of the day. 

The weeks homework is at the bottom of the weekly timetable and is stuck into the children's homework books and uploaded below along with the knowledge organisers which show what the children will be learning.

The children should bring home their homework books and reading books each day in a book bag. This keeps the reading books in better condition than if they are loose in a rucksack. 

For the Summer term the children will need to wear PE kit on a Monday and Thursday.
