Before and After School Clubs

Before School Club

At Sharnbrook Primary we recognise the need for parents to leave their children in our care for longer than the school day. As a result, we are very pleased to be able to offer before and after school provision, which means that parents can leave their children at school from 8am until 5:30pm.

Before school club runs from 8.00am to 8.55am Monday to Friday.

We charge £3.75 per session.

The club is led by Mrs Janet Bowers with the following assistants, Mrs Nicola Bowyer, Mrs Sue Coulthard, Mrs Michelle Hunter, Ms Debbie Martin and Mrs Sherree Smart.

At Before School Club all of our activities are 'play' based.
Each morning we have a variety of toys available for the children to play with, examples of these include,

  • Technology: computers, remote control cars.
  • Construction toys: K-Nex, Meccano, Lego.
  • Role Play toys: cooker, workbench, dressing up clothes.
  • Board Games: Lotto, Four in a Row.
  • Imaginary Play: castle, dolls house, puppet theatre.
  • Physical Activities: tennis, football, hockey, obstacle course.
  • Craft Table: bookmarks, cards, cutting and sticking.

After School Club

We offer an after school club every day on the Pre-School premises. This provision is available to children who attend our school and is very popular with parents who are not always able to collect their children at the end of the school day.

We encourage healthy eating at our club and the children help plan with us the choice of healthy snacks.

We provide a happy, home from home environment with stimulating and exciting activities, including computers (with supervised Internet), Wii, D.S. Nintendo, Lego, puzzles, Hama Beads, scooters, bikes, footballs and also risky play. In the summer we have nature walks, do pond-dipping and do some cooking on the BBQ.

After School Club is lead by Nicola Bowyer, with assistants Sue Coulthard, Janet Bowyers, Michelle Hunter and Sherree Smart.
